What a place! The Dfrost instructors really know their stuff, they're obviously really passionate about surfing and want you to do well, on top of that they are among the most fun characters I've ever met. They're serious about surfing but make sure you have a good time doing it! They took us to so many different beaches, the guys know where the surf will be best on each day and it's great as you get to travel along the coast and visit many different beaches/places to eat as you're in a different place from one day to the next. Some of the more experienced surfers were often taken elsewhere so they really tailor your experience to your abilities. Although the little town of Taghazout is a million miles from the culture back here in the UK, the Dfrost surf house manages to do a fantastic job of feeling like home, the atmosphere there is so relaxed and as it's right on the seafront you go to sleep and wakeup with the sound of the waves, nice! The balcony onto the sea is one of the most chilled places I've been! We took advantage of the in house dinners that were offered to us, wow! Really great food, they always have something different on. Thai green curry, Tagine, and the bbq on the balcony were highlights. The most impressive thing about this place though is the staff, it's totally professional yet there's a real family feel there and they all went out of their way to look after us, recommend different restaurants and arrange trips for us. You can have some shisha and watch a movie during the evenings. They'll sort out whatever you feel like doing, absolutely fantastic people! We had a great time and were already talking about going back by the time we were on the plane home. I'd absolutely recommended this place to anybody! The people in the surfhouse were great! It was also the first time in Morocco and I have to say that it is a very nice country, they have (cheap) delicious food, good waves and friendly people. There are so many surf spots in the neighbourhood of the surfhouse, every day they found us a spot (even when there was almost no waves coming in!!). The surf instructors have real good knowledge of the area, they also gave me good lessons and practical tips (thanks Jallal & Ajoub). I allready miss the surfhouse: smoking some shisha-pipe with Mo in the evening, eating some delicious diners (Dfrost has a splendid home cook) or just having fun with all the crazy people that stay over ;) !! These guys know how to set up a surfhouse properly. The location is as good as it gets with Anchor Point, Mysteries and Panorama's around the corner. I went for the bunk bed option and it was great. The moment I woke up I could see the lines wrapping around Hash Point and I knew which spot would work best. Not being a beginner I generally went my own way with early morning and evening sessions but the surfsafari was a great backup for when the points started to max out. Some of the best session where with Mo (one of the camp managers) who took us to a few of the better spots around. Ajoup, one of the surf instructors, is one of the best guys you'll ever meet.
